A 17-year-old girl has been charged with murder in the fatal stabbing of 16-year-old Aliyah Williams inside a Bronx deli on Tuesday, July 15th.
The stabbing occurred around 4 p.m. at a deli near Boston Road and Mitchell Avenue in Williamsbridge. Police found Williams with multiple stab wounds to the face, chest, and body. She was rushed to Jacobi Medical Center, where she was later pronounced dead.
The suspect was arrested at 7:30 p.m. the same day. She is also facing charges of manslaughter and criminal possession of a weapon. Her identity has not been released due to her age.
Williams lived near the deli. According to her grandmother, the stabbing followed a confrontation. She described Williams as kind and respectful.
The case remains under investigation.
