A 13-year-old boy is fighting for his life after being shot in the head outside a Dunkin’ Donuts in Cambria Heights, Queens, on Monday morning, September 22nd. Police said the shooting happened around 8:20 a.m. near Linden and Springfield boulevards. The teen was taken to Cohen Children’s Medical Center in critical condition.

The suspect, described as a man wearing a white hoodie and white sneakers and carrying a backpack, fled the scene. Witnesses reported hearing a gunshot and seeing students scatter. One resident voiced concerns about the safety of children walking to school in the neighborhood.

No arrests have been made, and investigators have not determined a motive.
