Conservative commentator and Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk was shot Wednesday, September 10, 2025, during an outdoor event at Utah Valley University as part of his “American Comeback Tour.” The incident occurred shortly after noon when a single bullet struck Kirk in the neck as he spoke under a tent on campus.

Authorities confirmed that a suspect has been taken into custody and campus police are investigating. Videos shared on social media captured the moment of the shooting and the ensuing chaos, with attendees scattering in panic.

Political figures including former President Donald Trump, Vice President J.D. Vance, FBI Director Kash Patel, and Utah Governor Spencer Cox issued statements offering prayers and support and calling for the violence to end.

This is a developing story.
